About Sephra

Hello, I’m Sephra. As a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, I believe therapy should feel warm, compassionate, and collaborative. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to slow down, be yourself, and explore life’s challenges without fear of judgment.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating ADHD, anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, grief, and relationship concerns. Whether you’re feeling stuck in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or emotional exhaustion, I work alongside you to better understand these patterns and build practical, sustainable strategies for change. I also support you in strengthening self-trust, setting healthy boundaries, and building confidence in your daily life.

My approach is flexible, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Gottman Method principles for couples and relationship work. Because therapy is never one-size-fits-all, I tailor each session to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. Together, we’ll deepen your understanding of your thoughts and emotions, strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication and relationships, and build the confidence and resilience to navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and self-compassion.

Drawing from a trauma-informed lens, I recognize that many of the ways you cope today began as adaptive strategies that once helped you survive. With curiosity, empathy, and a touch of humour when appropriate, I’ll support you in exploring these patterns, reconnecting with your strengths, and creating meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help you move beyond simply surviving toward building a life and relationships that feel more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.

I also believe that who we are outside therapy shapes the way we show up within it. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, watching football (Go Bills!), playing golf, going for walks, or enjoying a great latte. I also love listening to records on vinyl and appreciate the slower pace that comes with it. I believe it’s the small, everyday moments that help us stay connected to ourselves and the people we care about. Wherever you are in your journey, I look forward to meeting you and creating a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood.

You are not a mess. You are a feeling person in a messy world.
