Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the initial consultation free?
A: Yes. We offer a free consultation to help you understand how couples therapy may help and determine whether the therapist's approach is a good fit for your relationship goals.
Q: What can I expect from a consultation?
A: A member of our Client Care Team will ask a few questions about what you are looking for, what matters to you in a therapist, and your availability. They can also answer questions about our therapists and help recommend someone who may be a good fit.
Q: Can we request a specific therapist?
A: Yes. If you already have someone in mind, let us know. We can tell you about their availability and whether they may be a good fit for what you are looking for.
Q: What if the therapist we’re interested in isn’t currently available?
A: You can join their waiting list and receive an automatic notification when an appointment becomes available. If you prefer to get started sooner, our Client Care Team can also help you find another therapist who may be a good fit.
Q: Do both partners need to take part in the consultation?
A: No. One partner can speak with our Client Care Team and gather the information you need. Both partners are also welcome to take part if you prefer.
Q: Do we have to decide during the consultation if we want to book?
A. No. Some couples are ready to book right away, while others want time to think it over. You can decide during the consultation or contact us later when you are ready.
Q: Can we switch to another therapist at any point during therapy?
A. Yes. If the fit isn’t right, let us know and our Client Care Team will help you connect with another therapist who may be a better match. Therapists completely understand that not every pairing is the right one, and they genuinely want you to work with someone you feel comfortable with.
Q: Do you offer both in-person and virtual couples therapy?
A: Yes. We offer both in-person couples therapy at our Niagara Falls office and virtual appointments for clients located in Ontario. Availability may vary by therapist.
Q: Is couples therapy covered by employee benefits in Ontario?
A. Yes. Many extended health plans cover therapy with a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker. Depending on your plan, we may be able to direct bill or provide detailed receipts for reimbursement. We recommend checking your specific plan for coverage.

Love is not the absence of conflict. It is the ability to stay connected through conflict.
