Areas of Expertise
I specialize in couples therapy and individual therapy for adults, integrating various therapeutic approaches tailored to meet your specific needs. With training in Gottman Couples Therapy, Transformative Couples Therapy (TCT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporating Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I work with individuals and couples facing relationship struggles, financial stress, anxiety, depression, and other life stressors. Whether you're seeking help as an individual or a couple—improving communication, resolving conflict, managing anxiety, or navigating major life changes—I’m here to support you in finding clarity and building stronger relationships.

Background
My journey to becoming a therapist began with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, which I earned in 1997 from Brock University. While I initially began pursuing a Master of Counselling that same year, life circumstances took me on a different path. For 25 years, I worked as a counsellor in a not-for-profit agency, supporting individuals and couples, and as an insolvency counsellor, helping people navigate financial stress. These experiences deepened my understanding of the challenges people face and strengthened my commitment to supporting others.
In 2024, I completed my Master's degree in Counselling, combining both professional and personal life experiences to guide my work today as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

Session Expectations
In our sessions, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where we focus on practical steps toward positive change. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a collaborative approach to foster self-understanding and growth.
Personal Interests
Outside of the therapy room, you might find me enjoying time with my family, traveling with my husband, or supporting our adult children as they navigate their own paths. Running has been a significant part of my life and mental health journey, helping me to stay grounded and focused. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in several marathons over the years, and I find that being in nature helps me maintain both mental and physical balance.
Professional Passion
My goal is to support you as you navigate life’s challenges, providing an empowering space where you can explore your experiences and move forward with greater confidence. I want you to feel understood, supported, and equipped to make meaningful progress in the areas that matter most to you.
