About Idelsi

Hi there, I’m Idelsi.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology from the University of Toronto. I’ve worked in both school and clinical settings supporting children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, and anxiety. I’ve also served as a youth and children’s leader at my local church, and I’m currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

It’s completely normal to have questions about therapy and to feel a bit nervous when searching for someone you feel comfortable talking to. This can be especially true if it’s your first time, which is why I focus on creating an engaging, supportive environment that helps you feel at ease.

In our sessions, you might find yourself colouring, using a whiteboard, fidgets, or even a cozy blanket. You can also expect to learn a bit about the neuropsychological side of things — how emotion, behaviour, and the brain all connect. I believe self‑awareness is the foundation for understanding challenges and creating meaningful change.

I have experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults, adapting my approach to meet each person’s unique needs. My style is flexible and collaborative, whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioural challenges, grief, low self‑esteem, relationship challenges, or divorce. And if you’re simply looking for someone who will listen, I’m here to support you and look forward to being part of your journey.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy reading, singing, playing tennis, watching baseball, hiking, and spending time with my family. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish.

I look forward to getting to know you and connecting with you.

Courage is not the absence of fear; courage is fear walking.
