About Brittany

Hello! I’m Brittany Parsons (she/her).

As a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Play Therapist, I value creating space for individuals to grow and feel more connected to themselves and others.

My journey to therapy began in 2011 through community roles, school-based work, and post-secondary teaching. I completed my Advanced Child and Youth Care Diploma at Fleming College, followed by a Bachelor’s in Child and Youth Care at Toronto Metropolitan University, and later a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

I am passionate about working with children, youth, and adults, specializing in areas such as trauma, grief and loss, relationships, anxiety, pregnancy, postpartum and infertility, ADHD, and life transitions. You can expect that I will work closely with you to create a personalized therapeutic plan tailored to your needs and goals.

My approach is rooted in relational practice and trauma-informed care, with a strong emphasis on building a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to co-create a warm, secure environment that meets you where you are. Throughout our work together, I often use visuals, metaphors, and analogies to deepen understanding and reflection. You will always be informed about the interventions we use and encouraged to apply strategies beyond our sessions. My practice is relational and client-centered, adapting to the needs of each person I meet.

Modalities I frequently use include CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and Play Therapy.
