About Nicole

My path to becoming a therapist began in 2006 when I completed my formal education and entered the field of public social work. Over the years, I developed a deep passion for supporting and empowering others. As I engaged in this work, I grew increasingly curious about the whole person—how our emotional, physical, and cognitive responses shape our experiences.

This curiosity led me to explore whole-body approaches to healing. In 2018, I completed various yoga teacher trainings, including the Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Program (TCTSY) with the Center for Trauma and Embodiment. This training bridged my professional experience with my passion for mind-body healing and opened the door to my work as a therapist.

How I Can Help You

I specialize in somatic, or body-based, therapy. This approach focuses on the connection between the mind and body, recognizing that trauma and emotions are often stored physically as well as mentally. By combining talk therapy with body awareness, we can work together to release emotions trapped by past experiences, helping you feel safe, connected, and whole again.

Somatic therapy is particularly effective for addressing PTSD, C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, and ADHD. In our sessions, you can expect to explore tools such as mindful movement, breathwork, and body awareness to help you process and heal.

My Qualifications

  • Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), 300-hour program

  • Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, 60-hour certificate

  • Yoga Teacher Training

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • ADHD-focused trainings

My Approach in Three Words

  • Relationship: Healing happens within the safety of a strong therapeutic relationship.

  • Connection: Building a connection to yourself, your relationships, and your environment is vital for healing.

  • Empowerment: I strive to empower you to define your own path to healing and recovery.

Outside of Therapy
When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog, cooking, reading, and engaging in physical activities like yoga, walking, and sports.
